get in touch and we'll tell you all you need to know!
Cogges weddings take place in our 18th Century Wheat and Barley barns, usually from April to October (we are happy to discuss other dates too!) Weddings are an important part of life at Cogges, and income raised goes towards the running of the farm and keeping the doors of this special heritage visitor centre open to our community and visitors.
We ensure that there is only ever one barn wedding per weekend, and you'll have sole use of the barns and their walled courtyard from Friday to Sunday. For mid-week weddings, you'll have exclusive use from either Monday to Wednesday or Tuesday to Thursday.
The entire site will be exclusively yours from 5pm onwards on the day of your wedding, and this includes our walled garden, Manor House lawn and orchard. This leads to incredible photograph opportunities, and you're welcome to include our friendly animals in your photographs too.
To check availability or discuss your wedding plans, do get in touch via firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 01993 772602.
We’d love to show you around to share our beautiful venue with you and understand more about your requirements and how you’d like your wedding to unfold.
We're available by appointment most days, including weekends (if there’s not a wedding on), bank holidays and some evenings. (Note that during COVID restrictions, visits are socially-distanced; only local people are permitted to visit during lockdown, but we will happily schedule a future visit once life starts to get back to normal).
If you can't wait to book Cogges for your special day, we will be happy to reserve your date for 7 days. This gives you the chance to check the availability of the Registrar or church, along with your nearest and dearest, and perhaps suppliers too.
A £500 deposit* will secure your chosen date, with the balance payable two months before the wedding date – this final balance will include your chosen optional items such as corkage, straw bales etc. Many couples like to spread the payments, so you are welcome to pay additional amounts to your own payment plan – just ask!
*Although the deposit is non-refundable, should you need to change your date, we will be happy to check availability on request and transfer it to an alternative date.
This fee is payable to Cogges, should you wish to marry here. It is your responsibility to book the Registrars via the Oxfordshire County Council Registration Service and to pay their fees directly, which may vary depending on the day of the week and time of your ceremony.
We are currently taking bookings through to 2023, and are open to enquiries for 2024 onwards. If you wish to hold your wedding in a short time-frame (within the next three months), do get in touch as we may have special rates available on selected dates.
Cogges was a beautiful setting for a wedding... perfect for walking around and visiting with family and friends. Lots for the little ones to do and enjoy; from petting animals to exploring the grounds and gardens, we enjoyed every minute at Cogges. The on site cafe was also great! — Veronika L, Tennessee, USA (Tripadvisor)
