Working at Cogges

The fantastic team helps to keep our doors open to the community. Cogges is a charitable trust, and everything we do is to help people learn more about the Cotwold’s past heritage and the natural world.  You can help support this by becoming a member of staff, a volunteer or a trustee.

CAFE SUPERVISOR - deadline to apply is 28th March 2021

Hours: 37.5 hours a week, spread over 5 daily shifts of 8 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Weekend working essential. 
Salary: £18,525 per annum

We’re looking for an experienced Café Supervisor to work in the Cogges Kitchen Café as we get ready to open for the 2021 season. This is a full-time position, reporting to our Café Manager, ideally suited for a candidate who is able to take the lead in opening our café to customers when our Café Manager is away from site. 

Key tasks:

  • Preparation and cooking of all food as detailed in our Cogges cookbook
  • Preparation and serving coffee and hot drinks to customers
  • Kitchen safety record keeping, and maintaining clean and tidy working and serving areas
  • Opening up and closing the Cogges Kitchen Café in the absence of the Café Manager
  • Placing food & beverage orders with suppliers
  • End-of-day cleaning of the Cogges kitchen
  • Friendly and efficient customer service
  • Till operation and end-of-day cashing up.

Applicants should hold a Level 2 Food & Hygiene certificate.

Become a Trustee

The Cogges Heritage Trust provides the staff at Cogges with support and expertise, as well as working on long-term improvements, projects and fundraising initiatives to fund developmental learning programmes and refurbishment projects.

The Board of Trustees is made up of people representing different communities and offering a broad range of skills.
