Wedding Barns

Cotswold barn wedding
There are two barns at Cogges that can be hired for celebrations. The barns have a civil ceremony license so you can hold your wedding ceremony in either barn. They are also conveniently located next door to Cogges Parish Church if you want to hold your service there (or somewhere else) first.

After the ceremony, your reception and party can be held in one (or both) of the barns and we have a full alcohol and music licence (until 11pm) to help you with further revelry until carriages at midnight.

Wheat Barn – the more spacious of the two barns with a refurbished stone floor that can seat up to 200 guests (depending on how you configure the seating) plus portable heating is included in the cost of hire.

Barley Barn – the smaller, adjacent barn can seat about 60 guests and is an ideal dance or ceremony area.

Both barns together offer a number of different options for your celebrations and provide an immense floor space to work with. So, let your imagination run wild with how you can make the space work for you.

For example:

  • you could use the Barley Barn as your ceremony space, eat around tables in the Wheat Barn and then transform the Barley Barn for a disco later in the evening, or
  • have more guests for a ceremony in the bigger Wheat Barn, have an informal barbeque to eat on bales outside and have the Barley Barn as a games or chill-out room

Whatever the weather, there are plenty of places for your guests to mingle. Alternatively, you are also able to hire either of the barns separately if your wedding is more intimate.

The best bit is that you can choose your own room layout and your own decoration to suit your theme for the day. We provide you with the perfect blank canvas.

“The barns are beautiful; the red doors were the perfect backdrop for photos. Loved the fact that you could dress the venue as you wished. Guests loved the chickens walking freely around the grounds.”
