The Prime Minister visits to donate rare breed pigs to Cogges.

March 2014

We were delighted to welcome Prime Minister David Cameron to Cogges on Friday 21st March, the day before new season opening, when he donated two gorgeous Oxford Sandy and Black rare breed pigs, which he named Florence and Nancy. He spent some time chatting to volunteers and staff about Cogges and was keen to know how the farm was progressing. Florency and Nancy are already a big hit with visitors and we look forward to the season ahead with our new friends.

A traditional rare breed pig, brought back from near extinction 20 years ago, Sandy and Blacks are prized for their good temperament and for the quality of their meat.
