Animal Technician and Operations Assistant Vacancy

Cogges is recruiting for a temporary Animal Technician and Operations Assistant, full time, to cover maternity leave from August 2016.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role covers responsibility for the wellbeing of the animals kept at Cogges, fulfilment of legal responsibilities in relation to animals, as well as providing support for the efficient running and presentation of the site. Working with the management team and with a team of volunteers, this is primarily a hands-on role; you will be expected to provide cover in the key operational aspects of the site; including visitor welcome, site opening and closing, basic maintenance, cleanliness and presentation of the site, as well as animal welfare. The role will also involve acting as a site Duty Manager on a routine basis.
