Sally Wyatt paintings

With huge appreciation to Sally Wyatt, Cogges is delighted to present these works of art for sale that have been generously donated to support Cogges' Next Steps project. All proceeds will go directly to Cogges Heritage Trust.

Sally was Cogges' first Artist in Residence, making a visual record of a year at Cogges, reflecting the beauty of a working landscape that boasts a 1000 year history. The exhibition at Cogges ran from May - July 2017

Sally spent 12 months discovering a very different side of Cogges and has chosen to interpret the heritage farmstead in her own unique way. These works of art depict the changing seasons and the natural landscape; the vegetation in the meadow, the woods and the garden in summer, and interesting light and shade in the starkness of deepest winter.

When not resident artist at Cogges, painter Sally Wyatt works from her studio at her Cotswold home in the village of Fulbrook. She previously worked in the decorative arts sector for 30 years, at Liberty of London in the 1980s, as a designer, textile artist and stitcher, and sold her own designs to Liberty in the 2000s. Having studied painting at the Newlyn School of Art in 2015, she has rapidly made her mark on the contemporary art scene, showing at respected galleries including the Royal Society of Marine Artists, and in 2016 she was preselected for the Royal Institute Oil Painters. As an artist she is captivated by details, subtleties and obscurities within landscape, seeking out nuanced tones, enigmatic forms and extraordinary textures.
