We have an exciting events programme at Cogges for 2012 with something for every taste, from Easter egg hunts to Shakespeare on the lawn.

An overview of our events line up is provided on this page with further details given in the column to the right.

Saturday 5th May
Cogges hosts Witney Music Festival
See local musicians performing in the unique setting of Cogges Manor Farm.
With a series of plugged and unplugged sessions throughout the site, come and experience some new and exciting talent.

Sunday 6th and Monday 7th May
Rural Craft and May Day Celebrations
Explore our rural crafts and traditions and see a demonstration of traditional May Day celebrations including a maypole dance.

Saturday 12th May, 10am to 12pm
Children's Drawing Workshop
Taking inspiration from artist Paul Nash and others, drawing boards will be used around the site to allow children to draw from life using charcoal, ink and graphite, using twigs and feathers as drawing tools. The aim will be to create expressive large scale drawings and give freedom to the imagination.
An additional fee will apply.

Saturday 12th May, 1pm
Charlotte's Web
M&M Theatrical Productions' adaptation of Charlotte's Web is an enchanting story full of amazing costumes, imaginative colourful stage sets and charming, heart-warming characters. It is fun, entertaining, visually stunning and will evoke every possible emotion from every member of the audience. Come and see this amazing performance in the stunning barns at Cogges.

Saturday 2nd June to Tuesday 5th June
Jubilee Weekend
Celebrate the Queen's Jubilee with old fashioned fun and nostalgia. Try your hand at the egg and spoon race, show off your dog at the Family Dog Show and enjoy all our other traditional fete activities.

Saturday 9th June, 10am to 12pm
Children's Mirror Mosaic Workshop
Drawing inspiration from the moated area at Cogges, this workshop will use mirror mosaic to trace water patterns and recreate the rhythm and movement of the water. For children aged 7 and up. An additional fee will apply. Book at ops@cogges.org.uk, by phone or at reception.

Friday 13th July, 7pm
Twelfth Night
The Festival Players bring Shakespeare back to Cogges for an open air performance in front of the Manor House. Bring a picnic to enjoy before the performance. Please bring rugs or your own low backed chairs. Tickets: Adults £12.50, under 16s £8.50. Book at ops@cogges.org.uk, by phone or at reception.

Sunday 15th July
Gardeners' Question Time and Flower Festival
Bring along your most difficult questions to interrogate our panel of experts. Meet our garden volunteers and enter your favourite blooms in our Flower Festival.

Saturday 11th August
Drawing Workshop
This workshop for adults takes inspiration from the farm and its surroundings. For more information contact Liz Hogarty on 07769 906965.

Saturday 25th to Monday 27th August
Scarecrow Festival
Find out what our scarecrows have been up to. Have a go at making your own bird scarer and take part in some fun craft activities. Can you find any more scarecrows around and about in Witney?
